As a team, we will discuss and communicate through Skype roughly twice a week. Track what page you are on in the book and the progress you have made throughout the week. While reading, do not forget to take notes or work on tasks- this will help manage time and ideas effectively.
All work must be completed and turned in by the end of the first week of March (8th).
Book is recommended to be completely read by the end of the third week of February (22nd).
Every Thursday, we will check in our work and make sure a reasonable amount of one's individual assignments has been done.We all understand that some jobs are easier than others and will work together to find to a common ground.
All students are expected and required to participate in at least one of the tasks. Group members can decide to divide tasks up and each individual do it on their own or work on each as a group.
Progress MUST be shown at each checking point, i.e Thursday meetings. Failure to show progress at three checking points will result in student to drop a letter grade. If you aren't 75% done by the last Thursday of February, you will be "fired" from your task and drop a letter grade. If any one member decides to not participate or communicate at all, they will first be given a second chance to communicate and take up a task or they will fail the project with a 0%.
Plagiarism (not giving proper credit to a source) is not tolerated. All sources must be cited and all quotes taken from book must be quoted. If student is caught plagiarizing, peers can give them a warning and they will have one week to fix it. Only one warning will be given. If student continues to claim credit that isn't theirs, they will be fired from their task and fail the project with a 0%. No other students will be at harm for this.
You begin the project with an A.To be fired from a task means you will drop the task and drop one whole letter grade, if not fail the project.
If you are fired, and aren't willing to contribute any more: you can accept the failing grade or your teacher has given you the option to do the entire project alone.
This will only apply to the student who If your grade had been lowered or dropped: to raise your grade, you can see if your entire group (everyone must agree) will allow you to take on extras tasks or help out more in a certain area. This will only happen once, acting kind of as a "get out of jail free" card. Depending on the task given, your grade can be raised maximum of 25%- group members will decide. If no progress or improvement is shown, grade will remain the same.
We will try to Skype or talk as much as possible and be open with one each other on ideas.
I, as a student and team member, agree to these terms and will follow them honestly and fairly.
